Academic Field: Sociology, Sustainability Standards, Environmental Justice Movements, Regulation of Global Industries
Academic Achievements:
Author of Rules without Rights: Land, Labor, and Private Authority in the Global Economy, winner of the Harold and Margaret Sprout Award for environmental studies.
Extensive experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including comparative studies, survey experiments, and longitudinal data analysis.
Past chair of the American Sociological Association's section on Organizations, Occupations, and Work (2022–23).
Coordinator of the Regulation & Governance network for the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics.
